KARACHI:

Balochistan’s Caretaker Information Minister, Jan Achakzai, has strongly asserted that undocumented Afghan refugees will be expelled from the province without exception. He mentioned that 25 families are voluntarily returning to Afghanistan daily.

Achakzai pointed out that out of 20 suicide attacks in the province, 13 of the involved individuals were Afghan nationals. He emphasized that the province is resolute in enforcing the deadline for the departure of 1.3 million illegal immigrants, which remains at 13 days.

He affirmed the government’s unwavering stance on this issue and stated that it will not be altered. Additionally, he discussed efforts to curtail oil smuggling from Iran, noting significant reductions.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Karachi Press Club, Achakzai highlighted that Balochistan’s provincial government is actively implementing the National Action Plan (NAP) with determination, leaving no room for concessions when it comes to illegal immigrants.

He emphasized that political pressure will not sway the province from its stance on illegal immigrants, underscoring the presence of powerful mafias involved in the 90% of oil smuggling from Iran, reaping significant profits.
