Ashraf honours Blind Cricket Team

Players and officials received Rs 300,000 cheque as a token of appreciation for their dedication to the sport

Zaka Ashraf, Chairman Management Committee PCB, honoured Pakistan's Blind Cricket team and their officials on Friday at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore for winning gold medal at the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) World Games 2023, held in Birmingham.

Pakistan Blind cricket team demonstrated skills and resilience in the IBSA World Games, emerging as the champions beating India twice in the tournament.

In the T20 format, in a five-team tournament, Pakistan remained unbeaten and defeated India, Bangladesh, Australia and England before clinching the medal by defeating India again by eight wickets on 26 August 2023.

In recognition of their remarkable success, Mr Zaka Ashraf, presented each player and official with a cheque of Rs 300,000 as a token of appreciation and encouragement for their continued dedication to the sport.
