Stringent directives issued to crack down on locations associated with drug trafficking, smuggling, gutka trade

KARACHI:

Karachi’s Police Chief Khadim Hussain Rind thoroughly assessed the crime scenario, police actions targeting fugitives and wanted suspects, and the effectiveness of countermeasures.

Stringent directives were issued to crack down on locations associated with drug trafficking, smuggling, gutka trade, and various societal vices, including street crime, as well as those involved in such activities.

All this took place under the leadership of Khadim Hussain Rind during a meeting pertaining to crime.

Participating in this session at the Karachi Police Office (KPO) were the three Zonal DIGs, along with DIGs responsible for Administration and Operations, District SSPs, SSPs overseeing Investigations, and other senior officers.

Furthermore, the Karachi Police Chief emphasised the necessity of robust measures against crimes such as motorcycle and vehicle theft, extortion, and kidnappings within the city.
