Rescuers have retrieved the bodies of three of four siblings who had been pushed into a canal in Kahna by their father.
The bodies were found in the Lilliani canal, but a sister of the deceased children was missing till Wednesday evening.
The suspect had taken the four children to the canal in Kasur district on Sunday evening on the pretext of taking pictures but pushed them into the water.
Upon information divulged by the suspect during interrogation, the search operation had been launched on Tuesday to find the bodies. However, the efforts had been stopped overnight due to darkness.
Rescue officials said the body of two-year-old Ayesha had been found near Rajajang, nine-year-old Samia near Panduki and 12-year-old Ghulam Sabir near Badumali bridge.
The bodies were transferred to a hospital for post-mortem, but five-year-old girl Nabiha could not be traced. SSP Investigation Dr Anush Masood visited the home of the victims and instructed Model Town SP Shahzad Rafiq to investigate the case from all aspects.
