On 12th day of Pakistan Theatre Festival at the ACP, theatre group presents 'Kaun Hai Yeh Gustakh'

On the 12th day of the Pakistan Theatre Festival at the Arts Council of Pakistan, the Ajoka Theatre Group paid tribute to the renowned writer Saadat Hassan Manto with their presentation of "Kaun Hai Yeh Gustakh."

At the commencement of the play, ACP President Ahmad Shah and the playwright, Shahid Nadeem, shared their perspectives. Nadeem remarked, "Manto is our role model and a prolific storyteller."

Directed by Madiha Gohar, the play delves into the life of Manto and features a talented cast, including Usman Raaj, M Qaiser, Usman Zia, Kamran Mujahid, Bilal Mughal, Shehzad Sadiq, Rizwan Riaz, Hafia Mudassar, Usman Chaudhry, and Uzma Hassan.

"Kaun Hai Yeh Gustakh," originally produced in 2012 on the centenary of Manto's birth, offers insights into his migration to Pakistan in 1948 and explores his later life, work, and the events that shaped his career.
