MULTAN:

In a significant move towards promoting government transparency and fostering a stronger connection between people and the administration, the Multan district administration has unveiled the Citizen Information Portal.

This groundbreaking initiative aims to provide residents with an efficient platform to voice their concerns, access government services, and gain valuable insights into administrative proceedings.

Abida Fareed, the additional deputy commissioner (general) of Multan, emphasised the importance of this initiative. She said that the Citizen Information Portal served as a vital tool for enhancing accountability within the government.

The portal's modern and adaptable features were tailored to meet the needs of the citizens, facilitating streamlined administrative processes and cultivating a more informed and integrated society.

The ceremony to unveil the portal, which was held at the Deputy Commissioner's Office in Multan, was part of the CSO Bridge Program by the Farmer Development Organisation.

Malik Muhammad Sami, the additional deputy commissioner of finance and planning, expressed his satisfaction with the collaborative efforts between social organisations and the government.

He stressed on the role of mutual trust and partnership in bridging the gap between the common citizen and the government.

Citizen portals, like the one inaugurated in Multan, are digital hubs that provide a wide range of services and information to residents.
