Two youth commit suicide

Domestic disputes cited as reason behind extreme steps

DIJKOT:

Two youths allegedly committed suicide, while two young girls allegedly attempted suicide on Tuesday. The latter two victims were shifted to hospital after medical assistance.

Amir Ali, a resident of Chak Ram Diwali, was reportedly left heartbroken following a quarrel in the house and allegedly swallowed poisonous pills.

As his condition worsened, he was shifted to Allied Hospital where he expired. Police handed the victim’s body over to his relatives after the medico-legal formalities. Meanwhile, Nasir allegedly shot himself in the right side of his head after a domestic dispute and sustained injuries.

He was shifted to Allied Hospital after on-site medical treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police handed over the body to his heirs after the autopsy. Separately, 28-year-old Surayya Bibi, a resident of the Nishatabad area, allegedly drank acid due to a domestic dispute, while 22-year-old Suaimera allegedly attempted suicide by drinking acid after a domestic dispute.
