The Sindh High Court has issued notices to NEPRA and K-Electric on a petition against allegedly sending a bill of Rs63,000 to a vacant house.

The petitioner Imran Ali advocate stated that the monthly average electricity bill comes to Rs21,000. The family was sent to the village and his house was locked for a month at the beginning of July. But, the power utility sent a bill of Rs63,000 for zero consumption. The said bill is for two months, out of which the house remained empty for one month. The court issued notice to NEPRA authorities and K-Electric for September 13 and sought their response.

The Sindh High Court issued a notice to the DG SBCA and the Advocate General Sindh on a petition related to illegal construction in the CP and Berar Cooperative Housing Society and ordered that immediate action should be taken.

In the filed petition, Tariq Mansoor Advocate had stated that Block 7/8 Plot No. 158 in the society has an area of 306 square yards where a multi-storied building is being constructed. The 306 sq yd plot is residential but commercial construction is being done on it.
