Punjab Police's Mera Pyara App has reunited a missing girl with her family after 12 years.
Saba Khalil had been found by a Child Protection Bureau team in 2011 from the limits of Minar Pakistan Police Station but she was not able to give her address.
A volunteer team formed by Lahore CTO Mustansar Feroze to reunite missing children and elderly with their loved ones took up the case.
The team led by Constable Samina Latif conducted follow-up sessions and interviews with the girl. They found out that she belonged to the surrounding area of Minar Pakistan and her father used to operate a cart.
The team took the girl to the area and searched for her house with the help of local people. They were able to find the house with the help of Faqir Hussain, the owner of a local hotel.
The girl's father was overjoyed to find his daughter after 12 years. ab Dr. Usman Anwar and CTO Lahore Captain (retd) Mustansar Feroze for their help.
IG Dr Usman Anwar said people could search and register missing children, including special children, and other persons in the Mera Pyara data by downloading the ‘Punjab Police Pakistan’ app so that the public and police could reunite them with their families.
