HARIPUR/ HAVELIAN:

The recent unveiling of board examination results has shed light on the subpar performance of educators at Government High School No1 in Haripur.

Among the 287 ninthgrade students who participated in the examinations, a meager 11 students successfully cleared the hurdle, leaving a disappointing 276 students who were unable to pass.

Concerns have been raised by parents, who have alleged that instead of focusing on imparting education within the classrooms, teachers frequently immerse themselves in political deliberations and participate in political gatherings.

Despite receiving their salaries throughout the year, they seem to be neglecting their core duties.

Adding to the issue, it has been pointed out that the children of government school teachers often enroll in English-medium institutions.

The residents of Haripur have insisted that higher authorities step in promptly to address this situation.

They asserted that those responsible for adversely affecting the prospects of the children must be subject to public scrutiny.

Additionally, there is a growing call for action, as parents contemplate withdrawing their children from government schools if this matter remains unresolved.

On the other hand, the Havelian Government Model High School achieved an outstanding annual result, with a remarkable 92 per cent success rate.

People from various walks of life extended congratulations to the dedicated students.

A student named Zeshan secured the top position with an impressive score.

The head of the institution Muneer Ahmed expressed his gratitude to the parents, local community, and educators who have contributed to this success.
