BAHAWALPUR:

On the governor’s orders, the Speedo Bus Service has once again been suspended due to non-payment of arrears. The company issued a letter to Secretary Transport Punjab, Managing Director Punjab Mass Transit Authority and Bahawalpur deputy commissioner.

Speedo Bus Service operated in Bahawalpur for many years, providing travel facilities to the citizens of Bahawalpur and Lodhran. However, all previous governments failed to pay arrears of this service during their respective tenures. As a result, Daewoo Pakistan Express Private Limited suspended the service and restarted it multiple times on the assurances of the governments.

Once again, due to the arrears numbering over Rs254.4 million, the company has once again decided to terminate the Speedo Bus Service facility in Bahawalpur.

In this regard, the company wrote a letter to Secretary Transport Punjab, Managing Director Punjab Mass Transit Authority and DC, informing them that 12 Speedo buses running between Bahawalpur and Lodhran will be sent back to Lahore and demanded the payment of Rs131.7 million in dues immediately.
