Actor Mawra Hocane took to Twitter to share her sentiments about the current state of Pakistan and her struggle to stay grateful and hopeful in such troubling times. In her tweet, she seemed to be reaching out to her audience to learn more about how they cope in the face of the country’s depressing circumstances and hold on to hope for things to get better.
Members of the Pakistani entertainment industry have always been enthusiastic about expressing their patriotism and Mawra has been no exception to that. However, our celebrities have also often used their platform to express their disappointment and hurt at institutional failures and just the overall deteriorating socio-economic state of the country.
Mawra tweeted about how navigating life in Pakistan tends to be a daily struggle because each new day seems to be more difficult than the one that preceded it.
“It’s so hard to stay hopeful in this country. Every day is more difficult than the previous.”
She referred to gratitude as one of her possible coping mechanisms and something that she aims to practice regularly as a way to deal with the uncertainty and gloom pervading Pakistan.
“Choosing to remain grateful amidst everything is what I aim to achieve every day.”
The actor also put out a question to fans and followers, asking them about the ways in which they try to channel hope to combat negative feelings of sadness and defeat when confronted by the country’s sorry state of affairs. She concluded the tweet by suggesting that her community offer emotional support by sharing tips on how they practice hope and gratitude when witnessing chaos unfold in their homeland.
“Let’s help each other out, at least emotionally.”
Mawra latest drama serial titled ‘Neem’, also starring Syed Jibran, Ameer Gilani, Arslan Naseer, and Mariyam Nafees, is currently airing on HUM TV.
