Since Thursday, rumours have been swirling about renowned Pakistani singer and Pasoori hitmaker Ali Sethi, as well as New York-based painter Salman Toor having tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in New York City.

No further details about their rumoured wedding were made available online. In fact, neither party confirmed or denied the reports - until now.

As Ali Sethi occupied one of the top spots on Twitter, he took to his social media on Saturday morning to clear the air. “I am not married, I don’t know who started the rumour,” shared Sethi on his Instagram Stories. “But maybe they should help market my new release,” quipped the singer.

He then shared a link to his latest track Paniya with Noah Georgeson which is now available on all streaming platforms. Sethi is also set to embark on a world tour with dates for his shows in Brooklyn, Dallas, Houston, Dubai, Dublin, Glasgow, London, among others, out on his social media.

Salman Toor (born 1983), on the other hand, is a Pakistani-born American painter. His works depict the imagined lives of young men of South Asian-birth, displayed in close range in either South Asia and New York City fantasized settings.

Toor lives and works in New York City. In 2021, he made it to TIME100 Next list featuring emerging leaders who are shaping the future.
