The Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives recognised 75 individuals with Development Leadership Awards, acknowledging their pivotal role in Pakistan's progress.
Additionally, the ministry granted 60,000 internships to young graduates through the Ba-Ikhtiyar Naujawan Internship Programme, offering them practical work experience and training.
The awards ceremony took place on Tuesday, attended by Planning Ministry officials, awardees, students, and members of society. Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives Professor Ahsan Iqbal attended the event as the chief guest.
The awards were divided into three categories including High Achievers (over 40 years old), Emerging Young Leaders (under 40 years old), and Overseas Pakistanis who have devoted their resources to the country's advancement.
The Ba-Ikhtiyar Naujawan Internship Programme aims to provide 60,000 paid internships to recent graduates, spanning a duration of 6 to 12 months.
During this period, participants will receive comprehensive off-job and on-job training, equipping them with marketable skills and practical experience.
