NAB impersonators arrested

LAHORE:

The Intelligence Wing of National Accountability Bureau Lahore has arrested two NAB impersonators, Bilawal Haroon and Akmal.

According to a press release both men used to impersonate officers of NAB and a sensitive institution to gain financial benefits from citizens by using illegal pressure tactics and influence.

Bogus stamps, letterheads, visiting cards, fabricated documents of a sensitive institution, fake service cards, tampered identity cards and edited pictures are also seized from their possession.

As per reports, the accused persons also used to gain benefit by portraying themselves as the sensitive institution’s uniformed officers.

After collection of an application during ‘open hearing’ held at NAB Lahore last month, the bureau’s Intelligence Wing arrested both persons from Lahore during raids and recovered a hefty amount from them.
