Lauds Ilhan’s work in promoting human security

Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States had held separate meetings with three key US lawmakers to discuss Islamabad-Washington relations, economic partnership, defence ties and security collaboration.

Ambassador Masood Khan met with Senator Todd Young, a member of the Senate finance committees; House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers, and Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, the deputy chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

Ambassador Masood later tweeted that he met with Senator Todd Young, “a great leader from Indiana, to explore ways to strengthen Pak-US economic partnership” and discussed issues related to regional security. These topics were also discussed in the meeting with Rogers.

After meeting with Congresswoman Ilhan, Masood tweeted that he had discussed a range of subjects, including Pak-US relations, developments in the region, and climate adaptation and mitigation.

He lauded Ilhan’s work in promoting human security.
