Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, has demanded of the government to call back its ambassador from Sweden just like the other Muslim countries have done, saying that the Quran, the Prophethood and the belief in the end of Prophethood are our red line.
In a protest in front of the Karachi Press Club on Sunday, Fazl said, “Muslims know how to protect the Quran. They will protect the Quran by offering their blood and will not allow Israel to interfere in the affairs of Pakistan.”
He declared that there was no place for the agents of Israel in Pakistan. “Today's demonstration is the first drop of rain from the land of Pakistan … today's gathering is an expression of sadness and anger over the insult of Quran in Sweden.”
The JUI chief said that if Muslims went to Bihar, they would make the land so narrow that people over there would not get a chance to live anywhere.
He said that Muslims were broad-minded, like Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). “Muslims consider Isa and Moosa as the true prophets, the Gospel and the Torah as inspired books, and they respect all the heavenly books.”
While reacting to the Israeli leadership's statements about Pakistan, Fazl said that Israel was interfering in Pakistan's affairs by raising its voice at the United Nations through its agents.
He said that the agents of Israel were defeated by “our brothers in Pakistan and the campaign against Israel and its agents will continue”.
