JAMSHORO:

A 26-year-old woman who had sought protection from the local police met a tragic fate hours after being handed back to her parents. Unidentified assailants mercilessly gunned down Mehar Buledi right before the eyes of her parents outside a Motorway police office on the Superhighway.

After the devastating incident was reported, the Jamshoro police rushed to the scene, took possession of Mehar's body, and transferred it to Bilawal Medical College Hospital Kotri.

Hailing from Goth Allah Rakhiyo Khoso, Mehar's father, Mohabbat Buledi, tearfully recounted the harrowing tale to police. He revealed that he and his wife were escorting their daughter in a rickshaw to Jamshoro when a man, identified as Gul, aka "Ismail Phor" intercepted their tri-wheeler.

Gul's sinister intent was apparent as he tried to abduct Mehar against her will, and in a tragic twist, he pulled the trigger, killing Mehar on the spot.

Mehar had recently eloped with the one her heart chose. A day before her gruesome murder, Mehar, with a plea for protection, had approached the Jamshoro police station, seeking refuge from the storm brewing around her. However, her cry for help fell on deaf ears as police allegedly returned her to the care of her parents.

Meanwhile, Jamshoro police vowed to leave no stone unturned in their pursuit of justice. A thorough investigation into the tragic circumstances surrounding Mehar's murder has been set in motion, as her grieving family demands answers and accountability.
