In a remarkable twist of fate, a Pakistani family consisting of nine members has achieved a Guinness World Record for a truly extraordinary reason - they all share the same birthday, August 1.
Ameer Ali and his wife Khudeja, residents of Larkana, are the proud parents of seven children, whose ages range from 19 to 30 years. This unique family from Pakistan has captured the attention of the world for their astonishing coincidence, and their record has been officially recognised by the Guinness World Records, according to a statement from the record-keeping organization.
Ali and Khudeja, who tied the knot on August 1, 1991, have an even more profound reason to celebrate this date. Not only do they mark their wedding anniversary on this day, but all seven of their children were also born on August 1. The family sees this extraordinary alignment as a "gift from God," adding an extra layer of joy to their shared celebrations.
Ali, expressing his surprise and delight, recalled the moment when their first child was born on August 1, 1992 - a coincidence that had already amazed him and his wife, as per Khaleej Times. However, their astonishment grew with each subsequent child, as all seven of their children arrived on the same date. The family believes that this incredible synchronicity was not planned by them but was a natural occurrence, a testament to divine intervention.
"Our hearts are filled with joy and gratitude for this incredible coincidence. It truly feels like a blessing from above," said Ali, the proud father.
Khudeja, the mother of the family, shared her thoughts on the unique bond they share. "We have always felt a deep connection as a family, and sharing the same birthday only strengthens our bond. We celebrate this day with immense happiness and love," she said.
The births of their children were all natural, without any intervention or caesarean sections. Khudeja's labour was never induced prematurely, as stated by the Guinness World Records.
In terms of celebrations, the family now gathers to cut a single birthday cake, instead of nine, symbolising their shared joy and unity. Their daughter Sasui said, "Earlier, we used to celebrate our birthdays in a simple manner, but now we do it a lot more and with a lot of happiness. We are incredibly grateful for the recognition from the Guinness World Records. It is a humbling experience and has brought us immense pride. This coincidence has truly proven to be very lucky for our family,” she said.
