A young individual lost his life in a land dispute in Faisalabad on Sunday. Preliminary reports suggest that the accused, identified as Ahmed, was involved in a dispute over a residential plot with his rival, Sajawal, hailing from Chak number 176 GB.
The conflict escalated to a point where Ahmed, son of Arif, allegedly shot and injured Sajawal, son of Liaquat. In a bid to save his life, Sajawal's relatives rushed him to the hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The police have transferred the deceased's body to a hospital for an autopsy, to gather crucial evidence that could aid in the investigation.
A search operation has also been initiated to apprehend the individuals responsible.
In a series of violent incidents, seven individuals were left injured, including a renowned International Kabaddi commentator, a mother, and her daughter in the city on Sunday.
The target of the attack, Irfan, also known as Billa, a prominent figure in the world of Kabaddi commentary, found himself in the crosshairs as three armed suspects stormed his residence in the Thana Sadar area. Sustaining critical gunshot wounds to his abdomen, he was swiftly transported to the civil hospital after receiving initial medical aid. Meanwhile, at the Aminpur bungalow, Nafees' father fell victim to the violence, sustaining injuries during the assault.
In another incident, Shafqat Bibi and her daughter were attacked when accused individuals, identified as Parvez Iqbal, Adnan, and others, forcibly entered their house in 53 RB. The attackers not only fired upon them but also subjected them to severe physical abuse.
Similarly, in Chak 27 GB, Muhammad Hayat's son, Tayyab, and Riaz were shot and wounded by a group led by Irshad, seeking revenge for a longstanding feud.
