More than 12 valuable sacrificial animals were robbed from a cattle farm located near Superhighway Wadi Hussain Graveyard area of Malir Cantt.
The armed suspects tied the security guard, watchman and employee of the cattle farm with rope, took them hostage at gunpoint and tortured them.
Police have started investigating the incident in the light of the available evidence. According to Malik Shahroz, the owner of Muhammadi Cattle Farm, the value of the stolen animals was Rs15 million.
The robbery incident was reported to Malir Cantt police station, but the case was not registered immediately. In this regard, Malir Cantt SHO Tariq Rahim said that according to Malik Shahroz, 10 to 12 armed accused entered the cattle farm during the night and early morning of Sunday and took the security guard, watchman and the employees present there for feeding the sacrificial animals in the cattle farm, hostage at gunpoint.
The gunmen loaded the cattle in a truck and drove off. He said that the cattle farm was spread over three acres of land and no adequate security arrangements were made.
