At least seven people died, whereas 1240 were injured in 1163 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) across Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Out of these, 677 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 563 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue Medical Teams.

The majority (75%) involved motorcycles. Furthermore, the analysis showed that 595 drivers, 42 underage drivers, 133 pedestrians, and 519 passengers were among the victims of road traffic crashes.

The statistics show that 281 RTCs were reported in Lahore which affected 287 persons placing the Provincial Capital at top of the list followed by 72 in Faisalabad with 79 victims and at third Multan with 68 RTCs and 75 victims.

The details further reveal that 1247 victims were affected by road traffic crashes including 999 males and 248 females, while the age group of the victims shows that 230 were under 18 years of age.
