A case has been registered against a motorway police inspector at the Daska Saddar police station on the charge of attempted rape of a girl in his vehicle.
As per the FIR, the incident occurred when the victim, a resident of Lahore, was returning from Daska late at night. According to the complaint, a person claiming to be an officer approached the girl, offering her a ride to Lahore in his car.
However, as they near Dhidwala, the suspect, Muhammad Imran, allegedly began harassing the girl and attempted to rape her.
The victim made a commotion, prompting the suspect to forcibly remove her from the vehicle.
The girl, speaking to the media after being taken to the Civil Hospital by the police, described her ordeal as an incident of molestation on the motorway.
However, Imran denied the allegations.
In her initial complaint, the girl had stated that while passing Sialkot Motorway at around 3am, she and Bilal, a resident of Jaisarwala village, had been stopped by Imran and three unidentified people accompanying him who informed them that they were also heading to Lahore and offered them a ride.
However, they kidnapped her and threatened Bilal to go away. The three other men got off while Inspector Imran harassed and held her captive in the vehicle until 10am when she was dropped off at Jaisarwala Interchange.
After acquiring a phone from an unknown person, she dialed the emergency helpline number 15.
