Salma Begum, the Special Assistant to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Chief Minister on Zakat, Usher, Social Welfare, Special Education, and Women Development, has emphasized the importance of eradicating beggary from society.
She directed officials to take strong legal action against beggars and discourage this trend.
During a meeting of Darul Kifala, she instructed the officers to provide not only religious and moral education but also teach technical skills to the children at the center.
This approach aims to prevent future involvement of children in begging and enable them to become productive members of society.
The meeting also addressed the need for improved facilities at Darul Kifala and discussed other relevant matters.
The special assistant pledged to address these issues effectively, including raising them at the cabinet meeting.
She stressed the importance of raising awareness among the public about the negative impact of beggary.
