PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali on Tuesday said if “we fail to unite, the future will never forgive us” as the current state of the country and public expectations demand positive decision-making.

Governor Ghulam Ali expressed these thoughts while talking to media after an inauguration ceremony at the Governor House for the establishment of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Regional Office in Peshawar.

He was of the view that the federation and the entire business community of Pakistan have a unanimous demand to implement the “charter of economy” by consensus.

The governor said: “I hope that the leaders of all political parties and the business community will come together and rescue the country from the economic instability.”

“The provincial cabinet and the business community of the province have already taken the initiative,” he said, praying for a similar agreement and unity to be established at the national level.

The provincial government presented a cheque of 100 million rupees to K-P FPCCI coordinator Sartaj Ahmed Khan during the ceremony.

The ceremony was attended by the interim provincial cabinet members, FPCCI President Salman Elahi Malik, and the presidents of various chambers of commerce, along with representatives of the business community associated with various large and small businesses. Peshawar Mayor Haji Zubair Ali was also present on the occasion.
