Adeel becomes victim of indiscriminate firing by fleeing suspects

A burger seller was killed by indiscriminate firing In Manzoor Colony, during the looting of 4 robbers on two motorcycles.

The deceased was the father of 3 children. In Manzoor Colony area of Baloch Colony, robbers fired indiscriminately while looting near Khizra Mosque on Ghazali Road, killing one person.

The deceased’s body was shifted to Jinnah Hospital by a Chheepa ambulance. According to the police, the victim was identified as 30-year-old Adeel Ahmed, son of Shakeel Ahmed. He was a resident of Manzoor Colony Sector 11 Junejo Town.

The deceased’s cousin Imran told The Express Tribune that the father of the deceased Adeel Ahmed had passed away a long time ago. He shifted from Hyderabad to Karachi 10 years ago and used to work at a burger stall with his relative. The deceased had got married five years ago and had two daughters and a son.

Adeel had started his own burger business just last week. He was the sole breadwinner of the house.

Residents of the area told The Express Tribune that at the time of the incident, Adeel had made his friend stand on his stall and went to get some supplies from his cousin’s burger stall, when 4 men on two motorcycles rode in and started snatching mobile phones from people in the street.

The suspects, while running away after looting cash, started firing indiscriminately, to stop people from chasing them.

However, one of the bullets hit Adeel and he died on the spot.

The media remained at the scene for six hours after the incident, but the police did not reach there.

The local leader of Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan said that not only in this area, but in the whole city, looting and shooting of citizens by bandits is increasing day by day and the police are not taking any measures to protect the citizens. This is unfortunate.

He said that the deceased Adeel Ahmed was the support of his family in this inflation. Now it is the responsibility of the government to fix the stipend for the deceased’s widow, children and his mother so that the family can survive.
