A resurfaced video has sent ripples across the entertainment industry, showcasing a compilation of clips where prominent figures like Farhan Saeed, Goher Mumtaz, Yasir Hussain, and Sunidhi Chauhan can be seen throwing shade at popular singer Atif Aslam. The video serves as a stark reminder that what is said in the public eye, especially in the digital age, can have lasting consequences.

The video montage starts with a very young Saeed calling Aslam a "loser," with an expletive added before the adjective. Mumtaz then proceeds to abuse Aslam in Punjabi. Hussain can be seen referring to Aslam as a "goat." Chauhan, when asked about an overrated singer, takes Aslam's name.

However, what adds a significant twist to the narrative is the subsequent footage, showcasing these same celebrities seemingly in a friendly and positive rapport with the Doori singer in recent times. The stark contrast between their previous derogatory remarks and their present camaraderie highlights the notion that time can indeed change people and foster growth.

Aslam, known for his composed demeanour, has consistently maintained a dignified silence in response to negativity and criticism throughout his career. The video further includes clips of him expressing his stance on not engaging in public feuds or responding to negativity directed at him. This reaffirms his commitment to rising above the noise and focusing on his craft.

In one clip, Aslam states, "I never paid attention to the fact that who is criticising me and I never wanted to criticise them back." In another clip, the singer states, "My whole life, I have not responded to a negative comment."

It is worth noting that Saeed, Mumtaz, and Aslam, who were members of the band Jal, have since been seen together at jam sessions, with one particular session held by singer Ali Zafar making headlines in 2015. Mumtaz also went on Speak Your Heart Out and spoke to Samina Peerzada about the fall-out between the members, expressing semblances of regret.

At one point, Mumtaz states, "[Aslam and I] were pretty young at that time. It was too early for us, and we were kids at that time. And whatever happened should not have happened." At another point in the conversation, he says, "Talking about connectivity, I meet everyone. We play cricket together, we play Xbox together. Be it Atif or Farhan. But we don't want this connectivity to be exhibited in public. We now want to hang out as friends."

The resurfacing of this video serves as a powerful reminder that public figures must exercise caution and accountability for their words, as they have the potential to resurface and haunt them in the future. The ever-present reach of the digital age highlights the importance of considering the long-term impact of one's statements and actions. The incident also sheds light on the complexities of fame and the need for individuals in the public eye to carefully consider the potential repercussions of their statements.
