I was born into a ‘Fast’ family: Paul Walker’s daughter unveils her cameo in ‘Fast X’

Late actor Paul Walker's daughter, Meadow Walker, has come full circle from being on the sets for the first of the franchise to do a cameo in the upcoming 10th Fast and Furious movie. Meadow, who was “born into a Fast” family, shared a behind-the-scenes image from the movie and wrote a heartfelt note expressing her gratitude and excitement about being a part of the franchise – where she saw her dad be the happiest.

Meadow, on Friday, took to Instagram to share how the Fast and Furious franchise was an integral part of her life growing up, as the first movie was released when she was just one year old. “A preview of my cameo in Fast X. The first fast was released when I was one year old! I grew up on set watching my father, Vin, Jordana, Michelle, Chris and more on the monitors. Thanks to my dad, I was born into a fast family. I can’t believe now I get to be up there too – with those who have been around to see me grow up,” she wrote.

Meadow also gave a shoutout to Fast X director Louis Leterrier and Paul’s best friend Brandon Birtell for bringing her where she is.“It feels like you’ve been part of the family since we started, I’m happy it’s just the beginning,” she wrote, adding how ecstatic and emotional she is to be able to honour her father's legacy and share this experience with him forever.

“I am so blessed to be able to honour my father’s legacy and share this with him forever x. I love you all so much,” she concluded. Fans of the franchise were quick to congratulate Meadow on her achievement and poured in their wishes on the post. Even actor Vin Diesel, who is like a family to Meadow, commented on the post with a folded hand emoji.

The upcoming Fast and Furious is set to release on May 19, 2023, and will feature Jason Momoa as the antagonist Dante, the son of Fast Five villain Hernan Reyes. The movie will also include throwback footage of Paul, further adding to his contribution to the franchise and his legacy.
