Pigeon fighting, old enmity claims three lives

Victims were attacked with daggers, nails and gun in fight

Pigeon fighting and an old grudge led to the death of three individuals and injuries to two others.

The injured were taken to Allied Hospital for medical treatment, while the police took possession of the dead bodies and began their operations.

The incident occurred when Wajid arrived at a house in Mansoorabad on a rickshaw and got into an argument with Iftikhar Ahmed and Farhan. Wajid then fired shots, injuring Ijaz Ahmed, Nazir Ahmed and Arsalan. Ijaz Ahmed succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital.

The police handed over the deceased's body to his family after postmortem and registered a case against the four accused for murder and attempted murder, beginning raids to arrest them.

In a separate incident in Nawaz Town of Nishatabad, 45-year-old Basharat Masih was injured with daggers and nails in a dispute over pigeon hunting who later died in the hospital.

In another incident, Ghulam Bilal, a 45-year-old passerby, was injured by bullets in a firefight between Farooq, Nadeem Butcher, and Jaga alias Jugau near Usmania Masjid in Sargodha Road area. He was taken to Allied Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

The police arrived at the scene, took custody of the deceased's body, and began raids to search for the attackers in both incidents.
