QUETTA: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has threatened Quetta-based BBC correspondent of dire consequences for not giving them ‘appropriate’ coverage in media. “BLA spokesperson Azad Baloch telephoned me from an unspecified location. He said media is ignoring BLA and giving coverage to fake organisations,” said BBC correspondent Ayub Tareen. “He threatened that his organisation will target me if I do not properly cover them in the media.” The BLA spokesperson has claimed responsibility for several incidents, including rocket attacks in Loralai and other areas, which officially could not be confirmed, he told me, Tareen added.
