India’s ill-will and nefarious agenda against Pakistan is no secret. The beans were spilled by no less than a person of Indian Establishment, as former Governor IIOJK, Satya Pal Malik, when he confided in a media interview that Pulwama attack in 2019 was used as a ploy to frame Islamabad. The revelations mean a lot in the lopsided and estranged relationship of India and Pakistan, and the fact that they have come from the horse’s mouth makes it more important for independent analysts to dig out in detail the animosity and the equation of bad blood that is propagated by New Delhi to further its mission of maligning Pakistan.

Governor Malik is now on record saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Interior Ministry tried to prevail over him to hush up the tragedy of Pulwama, which was a serious security lapse on the part of Indian authorities that led to the killing of more than 40 soldiers of the Central Reserve Police Force. In the same vein, the governor said that the then National Security Adviser, Ajit Doval, also was in the loop with the malafide intent to fabricate the news of attack and pinpoint Pakistan for its alleged involvement. Last but not least, he was of the considerate opinion that the prime intention was to seek mileage at the upcoming polls by the ruling BJP.

This divulgence has a devil in the details, and the international community should take cognizance of it. The world should understand that this maneuvering and scandalous twist of Pulwama attack was used by India to transgress Pakistani airspace, and Indian jets intruded into Muzaffarabad airspace. The subsequent downing of one of its planes as it released payloads in the Balakot area led the nuclear duos to almost to a flashpoint. While Modi dispensation is guilty of playing foul and indulging in aggression, as it flew sorties, it must stand trial. Pakistan rests its case before the judicious global audience on Pulwama and later the Balakot warmongering. The least that is required is to beware of the Indian mentality, and leap ahead to fix the fox.
