Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that it is his personal desire to make peace with Pakistan Army.
Speaking at an Iftar dinner ceremony here on Sunday, Rashid said that a decision would be made by June 15 whether Constitution and law would be followed or war and controversy.
He said, “If the elections are held and nothing untoward happens, Imran Khan's government will be formed.”
The AML chief said that this was the first “incompetent” government, which was clashing with the judiciary. “Nine out of 15 judges are on the one side. They are fools who clashed with the judiciary.”
Referring to the Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman, Rashid said, “We are a bone stuck in your throat. Zardari said that the future prime minister will be of Sindh … do we look stupid?”
On the occasion of Eidul Fitr, he said, the price of petrol was again increased by Rs10 per litre.
Rashid predicted that the International Monetary Fund would not give anything even in April and the people were going to come to the streets due to skyrocketing bills and inflation.
Rashid said, “Imran Khan is ready for negotiations regarding the election.”
He announced that the whole of Rawalpindi “stands with the Supreme Court”.
“We stand with the judiciary, Constitution and democracy,” he said, adding that Imran’s fight was not with anyone but only thieves and robbers.
He claimed that Zardari was doing big politics, but Lal Haveli would support whoever the PTI gave a ticket to.
