Lahore police on Sunday arrested six young individuals, including a girl, for one-wheeling on their motorbikes while making TikTok videos in the city.

According to Express News, Shadbagh police acted after a video of the girl one-wheeling on a motorbike went viral on social media. The police apprehended the group of bikers found to be performing risky stunts during their one-wheeling endeavours.

The suspects, identified as Huma, Majid, Waqas, Roman, Azan, and Haris, were using Lahore's roads, including the Ring Road, for their stunts. During the one-wheeling, Huma sat on the backseat of the motorcycle to participate in the dangerous stunts.

Following the arrest, police lodged a case against the suspects and seized their motorcycles.

Shadbagh police station SHO Qamar Abbas warned that those who endanger their and others' lives while one-wheeling or participating in any dangerous activity would face the full force of the law.

The SHO added that Huma was handed over to the protection centre for women's safety.

According to a report from last February, data shows that cases of dangerous one-wheeling by motorcyclists in Lahore increased during the months of pleasant weather like spring.

The incidents decrease during harsh summer and winter seasons, the data analysis showed. The number of reported cases historically increase during March, April and May before decreasing gradually in June and July.

The incidents again start increasing in August and then drop drastically in November onward, according to the data of calls made at Police Helpline 15 during the past two years.

In March, April and May, the weather is moderate and it turns hot in June and July. From August onwards, moderate temperatures prevail before harsh winter in December.

In moderate weather, the one-wheelers swamp the roads, while their number drops amid harsh weather, the data showed.
