Shah Rukh Khan won hearts after pictures from his recent Kolkata visit went viral on social media. King Khan did not go viral for his acting this time but for taking out time to visit and meet with acid attack survivors during his visit.

Khan, who was in the city to attend his team Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) match at the Indian Premier League (IPL), also met with several acid attack survivors who are associated with his Meer Foundation. Pictures from the meeting were shared online by his fan pages.

In the photos, the Pathaan star can be seen posing with each woman, chatting with them, and taking a group photo. Khan wore a grey shirt unbuttoned at the top, paired with acid-washed blue denim pants. “King of hearts” trended on Twitter as fans shared the pictures online.

The Meer Foundation is a philanthropic organization that works towards women empowerment, named after Khan’s father Meer Taj Mohammed Khan. Recently, the foundation donated an undisclosed amount to the family of Anjali Singh, a 20-year-old who lost her life in a hit-and-run accident in Delhi's Kanjhawala area. Singh was the sole breadwinner for her family, consisting of her mother and siblings. The foundation's aid aims to help the family, especially the mother with her health issues while providing adequate relief to Singh’s siblings.

Khan was also recently named the top vote-getter in Time magazine's annual TIME100 list. He received more reader votes than ace footballer Lionel Messi, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh, and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The Raees star received over four per cent of the 1.2 million votes cast in the poll.
In the poll, the magazine's readers vote for individuals they believe deserve a spot on TIME's annual list of the most influential people.

On the work front, Khan made a comeback with a mega blockbuster Pathaan after a five-year-long hiatus from acting. Directed by Sidharth Anand, the action thriller also starred Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. He will next be seen in Atlee's highly-anticipated Jawan alongside Nayanthara. He is also set to star in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki with Taapsee Pannu.
