LONDON: Virat Kohli smashed a 53-ball 78 as India defeated Kent by just five runs in a reduced 20-over rain-hit tour match at Canterbury. Kohli hit three sixes and seven fours after proceedings were delayed by five hours as India made 164 for six. In reply, Joe Denly scored 100 for Kent, with three sixes and eight fours off 67 balls. But once he was bowled in the 19th over, Kent were unable to get over the line and only three runs came off the final over. India next face Leicestershire in a Twenty20 game tomorrow before facing England at Old Trafford in a Twenty20.
