At least one person was shot dead and two others were injured in the federal capital over what a gunshot survivor said ‘maintain longer than usual eye contact.’
According to a spokesperson for the police, the incident took place within the limits of the Golra Police Station where a man named Juma Khan was killed and his son and brother were injured by armed assailants.
He said a complainant named Naseer Khan stated to the police that he is a resident of Sector G-12 and owns a meat shop at Jaffar Chowk. Naseer said that last evening, his nephew, Fareed, son of the deceased was coming home from the market when the suspects including Adnan alias Dani, Zulfiqar, and Babar stopped and abused him for making eye contact with them.
He said at night when they were at home, Zulfiqar and Babar armed with pistols, and Adnan armed with a knife stormed their home and fired gunshots at his brother while stabbing his nephew.
Locals of the area rushed the injured to the hospital but Juma Khan expired at PIMS Hospital.
The police spokesperson said a case has been registered and an investigation is under way. However, the accused are still at large.
