A PFC delegation, led by its CEO, is currently on a week-long visit to the US and hopes to explore new markets and further strengthen bilateral trade ties with their counterparts. “PFC is holding successful result-oriented meetings with our counterparts and they are interested in visiting Pakistan and investing in the furniture industry,” said Ashfaq, adding that, “There is vast scope to increase the furniture export volume due to an upward trend, as demand for furniture and wooden products are on the rise in the US, European markets and domestic markets.”

“We are making special efforts to increase furniture exports catering to rising global demand,” he said, adding that the delegation is also studying the latest products and technologies in their field.

“Such business-oriented tours can play a pivotal role in helping Pakistani furniture manufacturers achieve the $1 billion annual export target. Major buyers of wooden furniture from Pakistan include the UK, US, Sri Lanka and Gulf countries,” he said.
