Men booked for attack on wedding party

Complainant went on to say that the injured were rushed to PIMS Hospital for treatment

ISLAMABAD:

A group of around a dozen men was booked by the Sagjani police for storming a house, stabbing, abusing, and hurling threats at the attendees of a wedding party including women on Thursday.

According to a spokesperson for the police, a complainant named Ali Jawad told the police that he is a resident of Johad Road in Dhok Kashmirian and was attending his cousins’ wedding when a lad named Faraz showed up in front of the house where the wedding party was taking place. He said he started honking without any reason and when he was asked to refrain from doing so, he resorted to hurling threats and went off. However, he returned with a group of twelve to thirteen men and started thrashing everyone including women, and stabbed three people including his younger brother, he added.

The complainant went on to say that the injured were rushed to PIMS Hospital for treatment.

The police spokesperson further said the police have registered a case and started an investigation.

He said the accused including Adil, Rakeeb, Faraz, and around a dozen others have been nominated in the FIR.
