Officers of the 36th Mid-Career Management Course visited the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) where they discussed various matters.
SCCI Senior Vice President Wahub Jahangir welcomed the delegation on its arrival at the chamber. Speaking on the occasion, the SCCI SVP said that Sialkot exporters were playing a pivotal role in strengthening the national economy by earning US$2.5 billion annually, adding that officers in whatever capacity they were should play their role in increasing the country's exports.
Wahub said that to make the country economically independent, local industry must be promoted. He said that if the government continued its business-friendly policies for promotion of local industry, Pakistan's economy could be stabilized by earning valuable foreign exchange by increasing its exports immensely.
The SCCI SVP said: "We are also trying to empower women. In this regard, the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sialkot (WCCIS) is also active as it is organizing an industrial exhibition ‘We Exhibit 2022’ on March 11.”
He said that thousands of small- and medium-sized industries were functioning in and around Sialkot, and they were globally known for their quality products.
