ISLAMABAD:

The federal government has decided to introduce two new residential sectors in the capital, with development work on Sectors F-12 and G-12 progressing rapidly.

The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) is preparing to announce the sectors either simultaneously or in phases. According to sources, the move comes in response to the growing demand for housing in Islamabad.

Sources said the layout plan for Sector F-12 has been completed, although its PC-I approval is still pending; further development will proceed once it is formally approved. Meanwhile, the PC-I for Sector G-12 is also in the approval process. The sectors are expected to be announced once key matters, including rates and planning approvals, are finalised.

It remains possible that Sector F-12 will be launched first, or both sectors may be unveiled together. The introduction of these new sectors is expected to benefit federal employees as well as members of the wider public.

In addition, development work has already commenced in Sectors F-14 and F-15 in the federal capital.
