Today marks 11 years to Ali Zafar’s 2012 Bollywood film London Paris New York and he sure is nostalgic about it! Paired alongside Aditi Rao Hydari, the romantic-comedy told a love story between two strangers who fall in love thrice, in three days and in three magical cities, over the course of six years.
On Friday, Zafar took to Twitter and retweeted Sony Music India’s clip featuring his “flirtatious” song Voh Dekhnay Mein on the occasion. “11 years of London Paris New York. A love story of three days in three cities over several years.” he wrote.

London Paris New York was a major breakthrough for Zafar, who not only acted in the film but also wrote, sang and composed six songs in it. He was the first lead actor in a Bollywood production to take over the role of a music director. The top songs from the film that was popular amongst masses include Voh Dekhnay Mein, Ting Rang and the title track London, Paris, New York.
Capturing the angst of those in their early 20s, London Paris New York is the story of Nikhil and Lalitha — two completely different individuals who are drawn to each other in spite of their differences or perhaps because of them. The Anu Menon directorial follows their journey of love as they meet in London, Paris and New York for a night in each city.
Zafar was last seen in the 2016 film Dear Zindagi starring Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan. He has previously worked in Kill Dill, alongside Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra, and in Total Siyapaa with Anupam Kher and Yami Gautam. His credits also include Chashme Buddoor, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Tere Bin Laden.
