Police said on Tuesday that they had made a major breakthrough by arresting the wife and a nephew of a man who was found murdered at his residence in Zaman Town on February 12.
Police said that they had reviewed the call detail record (CDR) of the victim's wife and found that she had been in contact with the victim's nephew.
The two were subsequently arrested and confessed to the murder during interrogation.
Police added that the woman had an illicit relationship with her husband's nephew.
The two murdered the victim, Acchar, with a sharp-edge weapon. Police added that they were searching for the murder weapon.
They said that the wife, now the prime suspect, had tried to implicate her 'rival' in her murder complaint.
