Khyber district’s issues ‘to be resolved’

Minister says all possible measures will be initiated for the welfare and development of the people of the province

Resolving the deprivations and long-standing issues of the newly-merged tribal districts, especially the Khyber tribal district, is the top priority of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government.

Caretaker K-P Minister for Labor, Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Haji Manzoor Afridi said that all possible measures will be initiated for the welfare and development of the people of the province. He said this while talking to a delegation from Khyber tribal district at his office on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the minister said that “our effort is to facilitate the common man” as much as possible. All efforts will be made for the development and welfare of the people.

He said that instructions have already been issued to Excise and Labour Departments to ensure the development and prosperity of the people and to provide quality services to the people while making the administrative affairs more transparent and easy.

He said that efforts are being made to provide employment opportunities to the marginalized sections of society. He added that concrete steps will be taken to stabilize the economy of the province.
