The funeral prayers of the two officers, Major Muhammad Jawad and Captain Sagheer Abbas, martyred in the Kohlu IBO were offered in Rawalpindi and Kot Addu respectively.
Both officers embraced martyrdom due to an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion during a sanitisation operation in Kohlu, Balochistan yesterday, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Muhammad Saeed and a large number of serving as well as retired officers attended the funerals alongside soldiers, relatives of the martyrs and people from different segments of society.
The martyrs were laid to rest with full military honour, added the ISPR.

Major Jawad Shaheed was a husband and father of two sons, from Kallar Kahar. He was commissioned in the 123 PMA Long Course and joined the Frontier Force.
Captain Saghir Abbas Shaheed was from Tehsil Kot Addu of Muzaffargarh District. He was commissioned in the 137 PMA Long Course and joined Army Air Defence Corps.
Security agencies have vowed to always stand firm against the nefarious intentions of terrorists. "The enemy cannot sabotage peace and prosperity in Balochistan," said the ISPR.
