Thousands march for Kashmir cause

Speakers at rallies demand end of oppression in IIOJK

Thousands of people marched on the Kashmir Solidarity Day to denounce the atrocities against the people of Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Various political, religious and social organisations held protest rallies and seminars to highlight the inhuman treatment meted out to the people of IIOJK by the Indian defence forces.

Many educational institutions organised speeches and tableaus.

Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that the blood of the people of IIOJK has been calling the attention of world's human rights leaders for justice for seven decades. He said that the time has come to resolve the Kashmir issue as per the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Sindh Minister for Information Sharjeel Memon said, "Kashmiris are not alone in their struggle, we all are standing with them."

He said that no oppression by India could end the spirit of resistance of IIOJK people. The minister said that 900,000 Indian troops had made the lives of people miserable in IIOJK adding that Modi had a long-standing dream and agenda, which he had followed to appease RSS and Hindu extremists.

Pakistan Muslim League-Functional Sindh General Secretary Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) Information Secretary Sardar Abdul Rahim said that the hearts of Pakistani people beating with their Kashmiri brothers.

Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan and unfinished agenda of 1947, he said adding India should stop atrocities in IIOJK.

A Kashmir Solidarity Day rally was taken out from People's Chowrangi to the Mausoleum of the father of the nation Quaidi-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah in support of Kashmiri brothers and sisters and their struggle for right to self-determination.

Sindh Minister for Local Government (LG) Syed Nasir Hussain Shah specially participated in the rally in support of the struggle of Kashmiris living in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Sindh IG Ghulam Nabi Memon, Commissioner Karachi Mohammed Iqbal Memon, and others also participated in the rally.

Nasir Shah said that Kashmiris should be given their right to self-determination as per United Nations (UN)'s resolution.

To mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day, Ahle-Sunnat Wal-Jamaat (ASWJ) Karachi division took out a motorcycle rally "Kashmir Hamara Hai" from Civic Center to Guru Mandir to express solidarity with Kashmiris.

The central leader of Jamiate Ulema-e-Islam Qari Muhammad Usman said that sacrifices of Muslims in IIOJK are trying to awaken the conscience of Muslim Ummah.

He claimed that armed struggle is the only solution to Kashmir problem. Usman said India's fate will be worse than Soviet Union.

He denounced the three-year long lockdown in IIOJK which has made lives of Muslims miserable. He asserted that the entire nation is with the oppressed Kashmiri people.

Majlise Wahdat Muslimeen Karachi PresidentAllama Sadiq Jafri said in his address on Kashmir Solidarity Day that supporting the oppressed and opposing the oppressors is the purpose of their life and part of the manifesto of their party.

Moreover, Jamaat Ahle Sunnat Pakistan Karachi chief Dr Syed Abdul Wahab Qadri said, "our relationship with Kashmir is spiritual which can never end."

The entire Pakistani nation is expressing solidarity with the Kashmiri Muslims.

On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, on the special instructions of the head of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek Muhammad Sarwat Ijaz Qadri, solidarity Kashmir rallies, demonstrations and seminars were organized across the country to express solidarity with Kashmiris.

Additionally, Labaik Pakistan Tehreek supporters marched in the old city area to express solidarity with the IIOJK oppressed people.

A rally was taken out from the Jail Chowrangi to the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

JI Pakistan Secretary General Ameerul Azeem delivered the keynote address, whereas JI Karachi Ameer Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, JI Karachi leader Osama Bin Razi, Syed Sardar Ejaz Afzal from the Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Younus Barai, and others also addressed the rally.

A large number of people, belonging to all walks of life participated in the rally hosted by the JI Karachi.

Participants, carrying placards and banners, chanted slogans against the Indian atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking on the occasion, Ameerul Azeem declared Kashmir as unfinished agenda for the completion of Pakistan and said that freedom fighters in India-occupied Kashmir are fighting to complete the agenda of division of the subcontinent.
