Two suspects injured in ‘encounter’

Two armed suspects were injured and subsequently arrested after an alleged encounter with police in the Samanabad area. The suspects were shifted to hospital and were wanted by different police stations of Faisalabad. Police registered a case under the relevant provisions against the suspects and started an investigation.

According to details, Dolphin Squad personnel signaled three suspects on a motorcycle to stop on Index Road Satellite Town within the limits of Samanabad Police Station. Instead of stopping, the suspects opened fire on the police party and sped away.

SHO Samanabad Sub-Inspector Hammad Yousuf reached the scene upon receiving reports of the incident and chased the suspects. Two suspects were injured in retaliatory firing by the police, while their third accomplice managed to flee the scene. Police arrested the two injured suspects and seized weapons from their possession.

They were shifted to civil hospital for medical assistance.
