Punjab to host 3,000 Sikh pilgrims

In 2023, more than 3,000 Indian Sikh pilgrims will travel to Pakistan to celebrate Baisakhi, which is also called Vaisakhi. Under the direction of the Chairman of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), Habibur Rehman Gilani, a meeting was convened to coordinate plans for the festival and other activities with other organizations.

The meeting was attended by the Additional Secretary of Shrines, Rana Shahid Saleem, the Deputy Secretary of Shrines, Saifullah Khokhar, Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (PSGPC) Sardar Ameer Singh.

Besides, representatives of federal and provincial institutions and officers of Rangers, police and district administration, Lahore, Nankana Sahib, Narowal and Hasan Abdal also attended the meeting.

The additional secretary of shrines gave a complete briefing about the schedule and arrangements for the Baisakhi festival and Khalsa Janam Day celebrations.
