A young woman who had eloped to marry the man of her choice found herself locked up in a room for months to be sold to another person.
Fiza Wazir Joyo, a resident of Nawabshah, while addressing a press conference at the Hyderabad Press Club on Friday said she had married Wajahat Ali son of Muhammad Mithal Solangi on October 15, 2022, under mutual consent.
However, Fizza said, her husband Wajahat Ali and his uncles Shaukat Ali and Muhammad Ali instead of taking her to their home took her to another place and imprisoned her there. "They wanted to sell me. When I came to know about the whole situation, a week ago I took the opportunity to escape from their custody and reached to my parents," she said.
Fiza said she has filed a case against her husband and his two uncles in the session court for her protection. However, she is being threatened with serious consequences by the mentioned persons, due to which she and her family are suffering from insecurity.
