City Police under its efforts for eliminating one-wheeling has arrested more than 200 wheelers in Ramazan

RAWALPINDI: City Police under its efforts for eliminating one-wheeling has arrested more than 200 wheelers in Ramazan, said City Police Officer Rawalpindi Azhar Hameed Khokhar. He said the activity was already being checked by special squads of police officers deputed on the city roads but now, several other arrangements have also been made to curb the activity; roads particularly Rawal Road, the portion of Murree Road near Committee Chowk underpass and other attractive areas for motorcyclists are especially being covered; motorcycles used for wheeling are impounded and FIRs are being registered against the youngsters. Under special arrangements, police officials have been deployed at Ayub Park, Murree Road near Underpass, Rawal Road, Sixth Road, Stadium Road and other places. Officers have also been designated on night duties to control crimes.
