ISLAMABAD:

Speaker of National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf Tuesday said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was an epic manifestation of ironclad friendship and an all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between Pakistan and China.

Addressing a launch ceremony of the All-Pakistan Chinese Enterprises’ Association (APCEA) sustainable development report 2022, he said the project was not only mutually beneficial for both the countries but the whole region could also reap benefits from it owing to its viability.

The event was jointly organised by the SDGs Secretariat of the National Assembly of Pakistan in collaboration with APCEA at the Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services.

He also said that sustainable economic development had always remained a top objective for Pakistan despite challenges. CPEC had played a massive role in the attainment of the above objective through enhanced connectivity and socio-economic development.

SDGs Secretariat in collaboration with APCEA organised the launch of a report titled “APCEA Sustainable Development Report 2022”. The report provides a comprehensive overview of the CPEC projects in Pakistan.
